When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you subscribe to Rare Sense Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe — we store only a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription ID. We do not store your card number, CVV, or other payment credentials.
We may collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app, solely to improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Rare Sense service
- To authenticate your account and manage your subscription
- To send you important service notifications (e.g., subscription renewals)
- To improve our platform based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a Neon Postgres database hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Sessions are managed via HTTP-only cookies to prevent client-side access.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe — payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosting infrastructure. Governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.
- Yahoo Finance / NSE/BSE data providers — market data feeds. No personal data is shared.
5. Cookies
We use a single HTTP-only session cookie (rs_session) to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential for authentication and cannot be disabled while using the service.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. To delete your account and all associated data, email us and we will process your request within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Rare Sense is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
